What do you get if you take a choreographed football crowd and add some South Korean precision and organisation? A human LCD screen by the look of it. This amazing display was put together by a team of 750 South Korean students who to cheer on their local football  team. As you can see in the video, the teams’ actions are a little sped up for effect but overall the fact that their movements create the illusion of a large screen LCD television with moving images is awesome.

The secret to their ability to put on such dazzling pixelated action pictures is their clothing. Each team member in the bleachers is wearing a jacked with one color on the front and another color on the back. Then if they open their jackets they can even flash a third color.

This guy who reminds me of older Chrissy Moltisanti from the Sopranos needs a spot at the World Cup. Stick him on the sofa instead of Alan Shearer someone.

32 seconds into this wonderful clip of Chesterfield’s last game at Saltergate and someone from the the disabled enclosure in front of the main stand makes a burst for it. He gets about 20 yards onto the pitch before a rather angry helper runs on, grabs the wheelchair and pushes him off!!

In 1977 Gordon Jago, Millwall’s commercially savvy new manager invited the BBC’s documentary team down to the Den. Jago saw an opportunity to bring in the TV cameras and show the nation that Millwall’s hooligan reputation was nothing but a myth and had been blown out of all aproportion by the press.

According to Eamon Dunphy, the former Millwall player, what the BBC actually intended to do was quite the opposite and prove the theory that football hooliganism was more than just random violence, that it was organised, linked to the the National Front and deeply rooted at Millwall.

Dunphy reports that people closely linked to the club at the time claimed the story was false, a distortion of the truth and the BBC had stuck to their agenda. The full programme is below and you can read more about the fall-out here.

Whilst lighting a cigarette will get you thrown out of a ground in the UK, this is the sort of show they put on at the Kleánthis Vikelídis Stadium in Greece. Amazingly, this is just for a pre-season friendly between Aris Thessaloniki F.C. and Boca Juniors. Incredible.

Don’t worry about the snow, stop moaning about the cold and get the orange ball out! Just don’t lose the only one you have eh.

There’s a great bit at 0.51 where someone takes a huge dive accross the pitch, completely untouched.
