The Plovdiv derby takes place in the second largest city of Bulgaria and pits Botev, who are one of the oldest teams in Bulgaria against arch rivals Lokomotiv, who rose to prominence during the the 70′s. To say things can get a bit heated between the two might be something of an understatement.

This weekend’s derby had it all – players, coaches, fans and the fire brigade all getting in on the action. Most impressively though is the bravado of  Lokomotiv midfielder Dani Kiki who attempts to plant the a flag Greame-Souness-style into the centre-circle of their arch-enemy… but hang on is that one of the match officials now getting involved?

Botev won 1-0 by the way.
